A. J. Croce | Croce Plays Croce
Croce Plays Croce
A.J. Croce performs Croce Plays Croce, a special night of music featuring a complete set of classics by his late father Jim Croce, some of his own tunes, and songs that influenced both him and his father. This special event features such timeless songs as “Operator,” “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim,” “Time in a Bottle,” (a song written for A.J.), “Rapid Roy (The Stock Car Boy), and “Lovers Cross”, to name a few.
A.J. recently recorded and released his own version of “I Got A Name,” for use in a Goodyear commercial featuring Dale Earnhardt, Jr. The song was originally recorded by Jim Croce in 1973 for the film The Last American Hero, a biopic about legendary NASCAR driver Junior Johnson.
“A.J. Croce has wisdom beyond his years. With his music, he represents his generation with a profound sense of honesty in his lyrics and quality in his delivery. The future of entertainment is safe in his hands!” — Willie Nelson
