By the time she was fifteen, Nicky Rood Kerr had recorded over fifty original songs, and performed solo at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship and graduated in 2013 where she received her Bachelor of Music. While in Boston, she majored in Songwriting. Nicky was also awarded the SESAC scholarship for “excellence and great promise in songwriting.” She is honored to have shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Carole King, and Annie Lennox at Agganis Arena. Nicky splits her time between Nashville, TN and Indianapolis suburbia where she writes songs under the wings of publishing company, Grey Creek Productions, LLC.

She is actively involved as President of Songwriters' Association of Mid-North Indiana (SAMI) when not writing at the studio of Michael McDonald of The Doobie Brothers. Nicky also greatly enjoys mentoring students in the art of songwriting, and performance in piano and voice.

This show will feature and celebrate songs from her CD Paper Towns, a country/folk album with guitar virtuoso, Michael Kelsey. Opening the show is singer, songwriter Summer Belt.
